See you Thursday! ACTS Food pantry has run out of food. Please bring in food for ACTS food pantry and shelter. They not only need the Thanksgiving items but they need other non perishable food too and they need it now. I recommend that students make their own flyers, pass them out in the neighborhood with a pick up date and collect food that way. It would cost nothing to do the mini food drive, just time. My daughter and I did this and we filled our van. Of course, we will take anything you have to donate as well. Thank you for thinking of others. ACTS food pantry has had to close its doors until Nov. 1st. They have run out of food. This is our community and these are our neighbors who are in need. Forest Park Key Club has just started Operation Turkey, but when we found out the pantry shelves were empty, we knew we had to do more and do it now. Send in non-perishable food to school and we will get it to ACTS. The items needed for Thanksgiving baskets follow, but we would be so happy if you could send in as much food as possible. Let’s show ACTS and our community we are responsible for each other. All food bags or boxes go to Mrs. Geraghty’s room, 1138. ![]() Operation Turkey!!!!! Now thru Nov. 10thOperation Turkey is a huge food drive that benefits our neighbors, classmates, and community. Many of these families can not afford food, never the less to have a Thanksgiving Feast. This collection will provide many families with a Thanksgiving meal and it also helps fill those empty shelves at ACTS. This year they will need our help more than ever.
If you fill a whole bag, you will receive one hour. (You do not need to buy the food, you can go around you neighborhood with a friend and ask for food donations). What fills a bag? 2 cans Corn
2 cans Green Beans
1 large can of Sweet Potatoes
1 can Baked Beans
1 large box Muffin or Biscuit Mix
1 box or bag of Stuffing
2 cans/jars Turkey Gravy
1 can Cranberry Sauce
2 boxes Macaroni and Cheese
1 box Instant Mashed Potatoes
1 can Pumpkin Pie mix
Plus any other non-perishable foods (please make sure to check the expiration date, ACTS will not accept expired food). Also you can get hours by helping sort food at ACTS.
